Orange Anime Sequel Film Teases Another Future in New Trailer

The official website for Orange -Mirai- (Orange: Future), the anime film followup to the Orange television anime series, began streaming the second teaser trailer on Wednesday. The trailer teases "one more future" and "one more miracle" as the film tells "what happened after the story, revealed at last." The trailer also features the film's theme song "Mirai" by the band Kobukuro.

Like the two-chapter manga that the original manga's creator Ichigo Takano launched in October, the movie retells the main story from Suwa's point of view. The film also tells the story after the original manga and the television anime, and therefore a story not told anywhere until now.

For the movie, the television anime's cast is returning along with the staff, and Naomi Nakayama is now serving as chief director. The band Kobukuro is contributing the theme song "Mirai."

The film will play for a limited two-week engagement throughout Japan starting on November 18.

 

The manga inspired a live-action film in December 2015 and the television anime that premiered in July. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime as it aired in Japan.
