Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Previews “Shibuya Incident Arc” With New Trailer and Visual
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has received a new trailer and key visual dedicated to its adaptation of the anticipated “Shibuya Incident Arc,” with the video featuring many of the Jujutsu Sorcerers and cursed spirits who will be involved, as well as providing tantalizing snippets of action. The trailer also previews the new opening song “SPECIALZ” by King Gnu.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 premiered on July 6, with Crunchyroll, Netflix, Bilibili, and IQIYI among the platforms streaming the series overseas. The first five episodes, which aired until August 3, covered the “Gojo’s Past Arc”/ “Hidden Inventory Arc.” The “Shibuya Incident Arc” will kick off with the new season’s upcoming sixth episode.
The supernatural action anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Gege Akutami, which began in 2018 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. Viz Media describes the manga as:

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is directed by Shouta Goshozono, who has served as episode director and storyboard artist for notable episodes like Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17, Ranking of Kings Episode 21, and Chainsaw Man Episode 8, instead of Season 1’s Sunghoo Park (who has since founded E&H production). Other staff for the MAPPA production include:

The main cast includes Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Asami Seto as Nobara Kugisaki, and Yuuichi Nakamura as Satoru Gojo.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics label. A prequel manga titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was first serialized in Jump GIGA in 2017 under a different name and later published as a single volume manga in November 2018. An anime movie adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered in Japan on December 24 and is currently the country’s 18th top-grossing movie of all time, as well as one of the most financially successful anime movies in the world.
