Dr. Stone: New World Releases Cour 2 Main Trailer
The Dr. Stone: New World anime has received a main trailer for its upcoming second cour, which begins airing on October 12.
Additionally, it was announced that the opening song is “Haruka” by Ryuujin Kiyoshi while the ending song is “Suki ni Shina yo” by Anly.
Dr. Stone: New World is the third season of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation. The first cour debuted in Japan on April 6 and ran for 11 episodes. Crunchyroll, Bilibili, and iQIYI stream the show overseas.
The Shueisha-published manga written by Riichirou Inagaki and drawn by Boichi ran from 2017 to 2022 in Weekly Shonen Jump and has 26 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media describes the plot as:
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
Dr. Stone: New World‘s staff includes returning names from previous seasons like Yuuichirou Kido as series composer and scriptwriter, Mayuko Iwasa as character designer, Hiroyuki Horiuchi as main animator, and Tatsuya Katou, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and YUKI KANESAKA as music composers. Its director is the “Ryusei” special’s Shuuhei Matsushita (Yu-No: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World assistant director) instead of the first two seasons’ Shinya Iino. TMS Entertainment is again the animation production company.
The anime’s cast includes Yuusuke Kobayashi as Senku Ishigami, Ryouta Suzuki as Ryusui Nanami, Makoto Furukawa as Taiju Oki, Kana Ichinose as Yuzuriha Ogawa, and Manami Numakura as Kohaku. Some of Season 3’s additions include Maaya Sakamoto as Francois and Saori Oonishi as Amaryllis.
